Education

Many parents believe that the education is to be had in a school and just as many parents are starting to believe that education can come from home, in a structured environment. However, there is always the opportunity to give your child an education where you go. The obvious is taking your family on vacation to a famous landmark or famous museum and making sure your child takes away all that they can from the experience. There are many educational things to learn from close to home. At the local grocery store, a child can learn the value of money, where food comes from, what is included in the price of a particular food item and the various jobs that are available at the store. At the beach the wildlife is an obvious education but what about the boats and what makes them go or what is the purpose of the lighthouse? Even an amusement park can be a great education tool to explain physics and its laws. Parents can find out what type of careers the neighbors have and set up times for them to educate the children in the neighborhood, if everyone is comfortable. Do not forget the older neighbors either; they often will have more education than the entire neighborhood put together. Education does not have to stay in the schools and the more enjoyable and natural you can make it for your children they more they will retain the knowledge being presented to them. And will probably become more inquisitive about life in general.
